Funko Pop launches a Die-Cast Spider-Man figure and a limited number of metallic chase variants.

Funko Pop is set to release the Die-Cast Spider-Man Pop figure as part of its weekly Wednesday drops.

This figure will be encased in a die-cast acrylic case with etched details. A metallic chase variant may also be available, with the odds of getting it at 1 in 6. The Pop figure will be available starting today, August 16, at 9:30 am PT/12:30 pm ET at the Funko Shop, priced at $50. In addition to this release, the Wednesday Funko Pop lineup for the week offers other items for collectors to purchase. There are also some recently released Marvel Spider-Man Funko Pop exclusives available.

The 1966 Marvel's Amazing Spider-Man #42, penned by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., introduced the character of Mary Jane Watson to readers. Her first words to Peter Parker were "Face it, tiger...you just hit the jackpot!", a line that would become synonymous with her character. Funko and Entertainment Earth have previously released a Pop figure inspired by Mary Jane's debut, featuring a speech bubble with her iconic line. A comics-inspired figure of Peter Parker's girlfriend, Gwen Stacy, who was tragically killed by the Green Goblin has also been released.

On the film front, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now available on Digital platforms, and it will be released on Blu-ray on September 5, 2023. This animated film follows the character of Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) as he journeys across the multiverse with Gwen Stacy and other Spider-People to confront a powerful villain.

Returning cast members include Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker's Spider-Man, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy and many more. The film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, and with a script from Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Dave Callaham,

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's sequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse's release date has been delayed due to recent events. There has been no update on when the film will hit theaters.
